Boys from the Bay: St. Francis

After a weekend off and with just four days to go before this year’s Baldwin we still have plenty of teams to hear from. Starting the week off Team Captain Douglas Sloan on the St. Francis team:

Please tell us a little bit about team racing at your club
We fleet race, we match race and we team race. On the water we try to best our friends – off the water we party with those friends. Win or lose we have a great time. Most of our team racing is done in J-22s. We appreciate the support our club gives us.

Tell us about how this year’s Baldwin Cup team came together, and why they make a good team
We all met in line at an ugly dog contest. Most of us were on the wrong end of the leash. Seemed only natural that we should form a team.

And most importantly, what is your team’s theme song?

And with that bit of framing out of the way, on with the sailors!
