Where are you from originally and where did you sail in college? Connecticut and Cornell

What did you learn to sail in? Blue Jay

What’s your boat’s theme or fight song? My teammates are in charge of this

Sail with a significant other? We are family all the way! Our team has father and daughter, mother and son, husband and wife, godfather and godson, but not necessarily sailing with each other

Hardest or favorite part of Team Racing? Best part of 4 v 4 is that it’s almost always a great race all the way to the finish line—no 1-2 runaways!

How have you trained for this regatta? To prepare for 4 v 4 team racing we are embracing randomness in daily life

Favorite Baldwin Cup Moment? Breakfast (or possibly lunch or dinner)

Who do you think is your biggest competition? Why? The team we are racing next

What did you learn to sail in? Sailfish, catboat, Ideal 18

What is your usual pre-regatta ritual? Stretches, crunches and review.

What’s your boat’s theme or fight song?

Sail with a significant other? Depends, when I do there needs to be less attention paid to winning or I will have lost the race!

Hardest or favorite part of Team Racing? The ever changing dynamics and close action are thrilling!

How have you trained for this regatta? i have been working on rules…ever challenging!

Favorite Baldwin Cup Moment? This should be exhilarating and one fine way to better my team racing skills.

Who do you think is your biggest competition? Why? Has to be last year’s winners!

Where are you from originally and where did you sail in college? Boston, MA and Dartmouth

What did you learn to sail in? Optis

What is your usual pre-regatta ritual? Braiding my pet guinea pig’s hair

What’s your boat’s theme or fight song?

Hardest or favorite part of Team Racing? It’s a blast being on a team with so many other great sailors!

How have you trained for this regatta? Drank half a dozen raw eggs and and ran up and down a flight of stairs every day for months.

Favorite Baldwin Cup Moment? The cocktail party!

Who do you think is your biggest competition? Why? Seawanahka

Why will your team win this year’s Baldwin Cup? Clear minds, full hearts, can’t lose.

Where are you from originally? Ventura

What did you learn to sail in? Optis

What is your usual pre-regatta ritual? A half hour of meditation on the beach

What’s your boat’s theme or fight song?

Sail with a significant other? Significant other, who needs one of those?

Hardest or favorite part of Team Racing? I love everything about it

How have you trained for this regatta? I’ve been retreading Dave Perry’s books for days

Favorite Baldwin Cup Moment? Most looking forward to breaking out my yacht club cocktail attire

What did you learn to sail in? A turnabout—only boat I’ve sailed that has only a mainsail and spinnaker.

What is your usual pre-regatta ritual? Often involves rigging a boat

Sail with a significant other? The only way to sail the high (or low) seas

What did you learn to sail in? This is going to date me…Blue Jays and Fireballs

What is your usual pre-regatta ritual? Scratch the gooseneck with an open safety pin while saying “I stood in the Bay one stormy day watching the ships go by”.

How have you trained for this regatta? Shoveling snow

Favorite Baldwin Cup Moment? Looking forward to the weather…we still have snow on the ground.

Haven’t heard anything through the grapevine, but there must be some good stories from past regattas given that the NOR had to explicitly prohibit drinking while sailing, and peeing in the harbor!

Who do you think is your biggest competition? Why? Won’t know until I’m told.

Why will your team win this year’s Baldwin Cup? We have Pequotian spirit.
